MOU signed with Jimma University, Ethiopia

In April 2007, Shails Communication signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jimma University, Ethiopia, for development of ICT resources for higher education, and creation of cooperative linkages with Canada.

'International Media Achievement' Award

Shails Communication received the 2006 "International Media Achievement" Award at the India International Centre on 5th February 2007, for recent accomplishments in international projects related to developmental and educational communication; and for contributing significantly to enabling local communication capabilities and capacity building in developing communities. The ceremony was organized by the National Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, India.

The organization in Canada has created successful models for incorporating contemporary technologies and strategies in global educational systems. These scaleable models are used to develop stimulating interactive content for quality teaching/learning programs in emerging societies.

Presentation in Chandigarh, India

Mr. Santosh Shail gave a comprehensive presentation at the Panjab University, Chandigarh on 17th January, 2007, on how to incorporate contemporary communication technologies and strategies in the development of content for interactive educational programs for schools in the region.

He discussed the innovative approaches of several recent international projects successfully implemented by SHAILS Communication, particularly in Africa.

Ontario Business Mission to India

Educational TV Production for Ethiopia

Shails Communication successfully produced 450 educational television programs for the Educational Media Agency, Ethiopia. These programs were produced in Ottawa, Canada, in less than four months.
